Kirsten Ring Murray Co‑Hosts Workshop at Chicago Architecture Biennial

2017/11/08

On November 9, Olson Kundig principal and owner Kirsten Ring Murray, FAIA will serve as a panelist for “Virtual Practices: The Impact of Technology and Transience on New Histories in Practice.” This workshop is presented by the American Institute of Architects Practice Management Knowledge Community (AIA PMKC) and the AIA Trust – of which Murray is chair – in partnership with the Chicago Architecture Biennial. In relating today’s working models to those of the past, the event will examine how changing technology and priorities affect contemporary architectural practices. Topics for discussion include virtual collaboration, co-working and technology hacking models.

The Thursday evening event will take place at Chicago’s Kinzie WeWork space. It will consist of presentations, break out group sessions, and a panel discussion with Murray, Lisa Ghisolf of Gizmo Creative Factory and Peter S. Macrae of Macrae ARCHitecture. Lira Luis of ALLL/Leapfrog Project will moderate.
